It all started in 02/01/1993 with a major music concert in Dikwella bus station for Sakura Range, which was led by Ajith Muthukumara at the helm. Anil Bharathi, Manik Chandrika, and Michael Perera were just a few of the well-known musicians that performed at this concert. Since then, the band's name has become legendary among music fans everywhere. For more than three decades, Sakura Range has been delighting audiences with their unique brand of mainstream music.
A vast number of Ajith Muthukumara and Sakura Range's self-penned songs, in addition to tracks they have collaborated on with other well-known musicians, are available.
A major force in Sri Lanka's music scene since 1993, Sakura Range and Ajith Muthukumara continue to make significant contributions to the country's musical canon. And the magic grows better and better with each passing year.
